Raydia Martin graduated with a dual degree in Law and Social Work (JD/MSW) from Loyola University Chicago School of Law in 2015. She began her legal career as a family law attorney at a non-profit law firm, helping bring closure to low-income clients engaged in difficult legal battles. Afterwards, she worked as an estate planning attorney and used her technical writing skills to develop estate plans that established financial security for hundreds of families.

Raydia worked as a legal writer and editor for family law, criminal law, employment law, and general civil litigation firms before launching her career as a Legal Research and Writing Attorney in 2018. She has helped attorneys all over the United States produce professional legal documents that effectively advocate for their clients’ best interests. Her technical writing and editing background has helped her develop a writing style that is clear and concise, yet effectively conveys a client’s personal story and need for restoration and justice. She is fueled by her belief that written advocacy is equally as powerful as oral argument, and her mission is to assist other attorneys with effective written legal representation.

Raydia is a licensed Illinois attorney, a member of the Illinois State Bar Association and founder of the "Let's Talk Legal Writing" Facebook group. She enjoys roadtripping with her husband and 2 children, journaling and doing jigsaw puzzles.
